Preparation

Ask students to listen to a song of Jay Chou
2.Lead-in
Ask students to watch the photos (Jay Chou and Jackie Chan)
T: Do you know them?

Ask students to watch the photo of Jay Chou
T: What does he do?
Ss: He’s a singer.
Watch the photo of Jackie Chan
T: What does he do?
Ss: He’s an actor.

（通过听歌曲，观看图片，吸引学生的注意力，激发学生的兴趣，同时通过老师的提问，导入新课，而且因学生对这两个人物都很熟悉，所以也能够给予正确的回答）

Ask students to look at the language goal: talk about jobs.

（出示语言目标，能够更好的让每个学生都明确本节课的任务）

1. Play a guessing game

Ask students to watch the pictures and try to read the descriptive sentences about different jobs. Then guess “ What does he/she do?”

（通过这个猜测游戏，让学生了解一些职业的具体任务，同时对句型“What does he/she do?   He’s/she’s  a/an…” 也起一个简单练习的作用）

1. Reading and filling in the blanks.

Ask students to read these sentences by themselves. (5 minutes)
Then fill in

（学生通过这个练习，更加熟悉这几种职业的具体任务，且能试着复述下来）

1. Pair Work

Ask students to watch the pictures and make their own conversations in pairs. Using :
What does he/she do?
He’s /she’s a/an…

（学生通过机械性的模仿，熟悉新句型的基本结构和表达方法，同时在这个部分，学生也谈论了他人的职业）

Ask students to watch the last two pictures again.
T:   What do you do? And what do I do?
Ss:  I’m a student.
T:   I’m a teacher. Now I’m a teacher, but I want to be an actor.
